Get Involved! in Love Letters: Random Cards of Kindness, Inc.

Kaitlyn Chana, a 16-year-old high school student from Florida, enjoys kayaking, scrapbooking, and studying broadcast journalism. One day, she hopes to be a national broadcaster for "Good Morning America." Kaitlyn Chana is no ordinary, everyday teenager, though. Kaitlyn is the Founder and President of Love Letters: Random Cards of Kindness, Inc. (www.LoveLettersCares.com), a national organization that distributes handmade cards to children hospitalized with serious illnesses. Love Letters is making a BIG difference in the lives of many children by way of a thoughtful and inspiring card of encouragement!

From stickers to rubber stamps, construction paper to markers, who would've ever thought that these supplies could help kids faced with surgery, treatments, or other ailments? Kaitlyn says that by distributing these cards of inspiration, she "knows she's brightening the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses." She loves presenting Love Letters, Inc. to schools and businesses and seeing others motivated by her passion. Kaitlyn's motto is "Sick children need more than medicine; they need love and support from their families, friends, and Love Letters Pen Pals."

Kaitlyn has remained motivated and enthused in promoting Love Letters, Inc. by the positive support she has received from those within her community. When parents tells her that she has put a smile on their child's face, or when a child reaches over to give her a hug, Kaitlyn says these moments make all her effort and time worth it. When she hand-delivers Love Letters cards to kids in hospitals, she says "watching their faces light up like rays of sunshine touches her heart in a way no words can describe." To Kaitlyn, the best feeling in the world is a child's hug!
